Middlesex Community College in Massachusetts already has an RFID certificate program. Now they'll have a radio frequency lab to go with it. Their study program was created in consultation with several local tech and healthcare companies.
The RFID lab is courtesy of an $850,000 grant from the US Dept. of Labor. Kudos to the DOL; I hope more colleges and universities gussy up their grant proposals (or approach generous companies like Zebra Technologies or RF Code Inc.) and set up their own labs. The sooner the better, as there is expected to be a skilled-worker shortage in the RFID industry.
