Comptia's New RFID Certification Program

In response to concerns about a shortage of RFID trained staff, Comptia is developing an radio frequency identification certification program. Comptia, or omputer Technology Industry Association, plans to create a program that will incourage the developement of RFID knowledge. With RFID mandates approaching, such a certification program can help compaines find individuals who have adequate RFID training. Such a program could help standartize and control the booming RFID industry. By keeping the workforce up with the techonology, Comptia's program should be a success. According to VNUNet.com:

The certification - due for launch around the end of 2005 - will initially cover topics including tag requirements, radio protocols, standards and interference issues.
