NEC announces a new CRM solution

NEC announced a new CRM solution that would allow Japanese shoppers to show their RFID cell phone straps or customer loyalty cards to an in store RFID device in order to receive a more personalized service. The backend solution will build a personal profile of the customer based on his past shopping behavior and enable the store clerks to serve them better. This solution has already been introduced in Shanghai Department store, China. Already about 10,000 customers have been provided with RFID smart tags for use in store.
