Unix engineer gets a Rfid implant

Mikey Sklar, a UNIX engineer got a RFID chip implanted in his hand in the month of November. Sklar  chose a read only device which served as an identifier. In the monthly dorkbot nyc meeting this week he would be giving an explanation as to how and why he implanted the chip in his hand. Although he planned to keep this a low key affair but it is catching media’s attention because of many Web postings.

On the other hand the makers of this chip Reseller Trossen Innovations website states a warning that these tags are not fit for human use.

Let’s wait for the meeting to happen.
