Walmart turns lawmaker on Rfid

When requests did not work, Wal-Mart came up with a law to implement RFID. It has started making clear to it’s suppliers that the company would be unwilling to work with them if they don’t adopt RFID.

Wal-Mart wants it’s supplier to expand their technology and tag more and more products as it would speed up the supply chain process and reduce costs. On the other hand the suppliers are reluctant to adopt RFID as it is costly and there is no return on investment for them.

Let’s keep our fingers crossed on this matter
