Hypercom and Communications Intelligence Corporation (CIC) are teaming up to help financial institutions and retailers’ combat fraud and identity theft by authenticating customers’ signatures at the point of service. CIC would be licensing its complete SignatureOne suite of biometric and electronic signature products to Hypercom for incorporation into Hypercom’s 32 bit optimum L4100 and L4250 signature capture card payment devices and for resale. CIC’s SignatureOne suite has the SignatureOne Profile Server, iSign software developer’s toolkit and Sign-it software. As per the terms of agreement, Hypercom has full licensing rights to CIC’s entire patent portfolio so that it can use its broad market access and distribution channels to offer solutions that CIC does not have available.
