With Alien Technology cancelling their IPO, RFID Update speculates about which "pure-play" RFID company might be first to go public. Amongst others, candidates include Impinj and ThingMagic. Both have received VC (Venture Capital) funding recently. However, some ThingMagic insiders openly state that they are more likely to be acquired than to go public - with Cisco being the likeliest acquirer.
